Hi there! My name is Ryan, and I graduated from Brown University with a major in Biophysics with a 4.0 GPA. I’ve always loved teaching and learning—there’s something really rewarding about helping someone reach that “aha!” moment, whether it’s solving a tricky SAT math problem or breaking down a dense science concept into something that finally clicks.
I’ve had the chance to tutor multiple junior high school students for the SAT, helping them build confidence and hit their dream scores. My approach is always centered around the student—figuring out how you learn best and tailoring lessons so they actually make sense (and even feel fun sometimes!).
At Brown, I’ve worked as a tutor and teaching assistant across several subjects, including Physics, Cognitive Neuropsychology, and Biochemistry. I’ve led review sessions, held office hours, and worked closely with students to explain everything from electric fields to how the brain processes memory. I also volunteered as a mentor and tutor in the Providence community, working with both young kids and adult learners in one-on-one and small group settings.
Whether you're prepping for a big test, trying to boost your grades, or just want to feel more confident in class, I’d love to help.
Looking forward to working with you!
