Welcome!

I am a New York State certified teacher currently teaching 6th and 7th grade general and life science. I have been in this position for 5 years. Prior I was a long-term substitute teacher teaching Regents biology, Regents chemistry, and forensic science to 9th-12th graders.

My student body includes accelerated, regular education and special education students of all levels. I differentiate my instruction to accommodate each and every child in the classroom via different teaching methods.

I incorporate visual aids, hands-on activities, virtual activities, fiction and non-fiction reading and writing pieces to incorporate all disciplines as we regularly utilize cross-curricular activities.

I have experience with a wide age range and learning level of students and have an excellent rapport with them.

I have multiple administrative observations that resulted in excellent reviews.

I have also prepared students to take New York State Educational Exams.

I completed my Master's program completely online, so I am experienced in Angel and Blackboard programs that help online communities communicate. My goal is to teach/tutor online and utilize the many avenues available to enhance education.
