I am a dedicated educator with a strong foundation in both mathematics and education. I hold an undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Adelphi University and a Master's in Education from the same institution, graduating in 2019. As a New York State certified high school math teacher (grades 7-12), I currently teach and have over five years of experience in middle and high school settings. Additionally, I have been tutoring for over 10 years, working with a diverse range of students from various backgrounds and learning abilities.

I have taught a range of courses, including Geometry, Algebra 1, Pre-Algebra, and AP Computer Science Principles. My experience includes teaching advanced placement (AP) courses, providing one-on-one tutoring, and supporting special education students. I have also provided after-school remediation for Geometry, helping students strengthen their understanding and improve their skills outside of regular class hours.

During the pandemic, I successfully transitioned to online teaching, including working on platforms like Outschool, where I taught virtual classes on topics such as gratitude, mindfulness, and positivity. I adapt my teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student, employing strategies such as breaking down complex material into manageable steps, relating mathematical concepts to real-life situations, and reinforcing learning through repetitive practice. I also use interactive tools, such as digital applets and hands-on activities, to create a more engaging and dynamic learning environment.

My approach focuses on making math accessible and engaging, fostering both understanding and a love for the subject. I am committed to helping each student achieve their full potential by creating a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
