Hi there! I’m an expert instructor, executive functioning coach, holistic educational consultant, and cheerleader.

I have been a professional tutor since 2013. My specialties are the ACT/SAT (I scored in the 99th percentile for these), SSAT/ISEE/SHSAT, AP Lit/Lang, AP US History, AP Biology and academic math tutoring. I am a graduate of Columbia University (4 semesters Dean's List and a GPA of 3.71) with a BA in psychology, and a professional actress who has appeared on Broadway, television, and film.

I have worked in highly stressful environments since I was 10 years old. I understand the pressure and responsibility of completing tasks efficiently and capably. My self-determination and focus enabled me to attain a 4.3 GPA in high school while often performing eight shows a week. I earned two 5s and a 4 on my APs and a 34 on my ACT while rehearsing for a Broadway show. At Columbia, I was on the Dean's List multiple semesters while performing as a lead role in an Off-Broadway musical (I was additionally starring in a workshop of a new musical for a month as well). I graduated with a 3.71 cumulative GPA.

Remy assisted my daughter with her ISEE prep 1-2 times per week over the last several months. Remy had just the right balance of discipline, skill, compassion and inspiration. My daughter is not always easy to coach and often thinks she knows better and that she's "got it". Remy was very clear about what it would take for her to increase her scores but remained supportive and committed throughout the process - even when my daughter may not have been pulling her weight. Remy was no nonsense while still being likeable and easy to work with, and she was not afraid to tell it like it is. My daughter appreciated Remy's teaching style, and commented on what a "great teacher" Remy is. On practice exams, my daughter was able to raise her scores upward to 3 stanine points in some cases.
