Hi there! I’m an expert instructor, executive functioning coach, holistic educational consultant, and cheerleader.

I have been a professional tutor since 2013. My specialties are the ACT/SAT (I scored in the 99th percentile for these), SSAT/ISEE/SHSAT, AP Lit/Lang, AP US History, AP Biology and academic math tutoring. I get results: just recently I had another student take her ACT composite score from 22 to 33. My average points increase for the ACT is 4-6 points (composite!) and SAT/SSAT...

My average points increase for the ACT is 4-6 points (composite!) and SAT/SSAT is 250. I enjoy working with my students and find that they connect well to my warm, engaging, and energetic personality. I love being a mentor and I am overjoyed when I see them succeed!

I am a graduate of Columbia University (4 semesters Dean's List and a GPA of 3.71) with a BA in psychology, and a professional actress who has appeared on Broadway, television, and film.

I have worked in highly stressful environments since I was 10 years old. I understand the pressure and responsibility of completing tasks efficiently and capably. My self-determination and focus enabled me to attain a 4.3 GPA in high school while often performing eight shows a week. I earned two 5s and a 4 on my APs and a 34 on my ACT while rehearsing for a Broadway show. At Columbia, I was on the Dean's List multiple semesters while performing as a lead role in an Off-Broadway musical (I was additionally starring in a workshop of a new musical for a month as well). I graduated with a 3.71 cumulative GPA.

I know that my aptitude, communication skills, and positive attitude will help your child succeed!

Success Stories:
2020-2021 School Year:
1) Student accepted to Harvard
2) Student with dyslexia scores a 1390 on her SAT
3) Student scoring all As in their college essay class
4) Student scoring all As in Stanford Online High School
5) Student's ACT Science score went up from a 17 to a 24

I have been a professional actress since I was eleven and have performed in numerous regional and Off-Broadway shows. I was in the original Broadway cast of Spring Awakening and can be heard on the Dear Evan Hansen cast album (and in the show every night!). I have studied with the best acting teacher and voice teacher in the city and know firsthand how to give an excellent audition.

I have been singing since I could talk and singing professionally since I was 11 years old. I have studied with the top tier voice teachers in New York City (aka the country), and have found that singing is an athletic, full body experience and should be treated as such! Thus, I focus on full body exercises that will help free up your voice. We will also talk about vocal hygiene so you will never have to worry about losing or damaging your voice!

Incredibly knowledgable, calm, helpful and friendly tutor!

Remy is helping my son prepare for the SHSAT test. She's an absolute pro. We're so thankful we found her. I'm confident she can help with both test strategy and subject mastery. Thank you Remy!

Great Tutor

Remy is always prepared and has a lot of energy which makes the tutoring sessions more fun. We have chosen a less rigorous path with our ISEE prep and Remy has been very patient and flexible. She has worked with us to adjust the sessions and homework to fit my child's needs and I really appreciate her support and partnership. Remy cares about her work and about my child's progress. I highly recommend Remy!

Engaging math tutor

Remy immediately struck up a good rapport with my 10-year-old daughter during the first tutoring session. She helped her develop a clear strategy to approach each problem. I look forward to see how she progresses in future sessions.

Awesome tutor!

Remy is very smart and hard-working. She cared about my daughter’s success on her test. My daughter felt very comfortable the first time she met her. Remy is a fantastic tutor!

Committed, thoughtful and highly skilled

Remy assisted my daughter with her ISEE prep 1-2 times per week over the last several months. Remy had just the right balance of discipline, skill, compassion and inspiration. My daughter is not always easy to coach and often thinks she knows better and that she's "got it". Remy was very clear about what it would take for her to increase her scores but remained supportive and committed throughout the process - even when my daughter may not have been pulling her weight. Remy was no nonsense while still being likeable and easy to work with, and she was not afraid to tell it like it is. My daughter appreciated Remy's teaching style, and commented on what a "great teacher" Remy is. On practice exams, my daughter was able to raise her scores upward to 3 stanine points in some cases. Had my daughter put her 100% in, I have no doubt that she would have increased her scores even further. We felt that Remy was there with us the whole time - teaching and cheering. I would unequivocally recommend Remy! She knows what it takes, and she delivers!

Warm, happy with a wonderful way of explaining and teaching the material

Remy was a bright light in the test prep process. My son found her one on one technique with empathetic and fun approach very helpful. Her way of explaining and helping him to understand and material was done in a gentle and fun way and helped him to get a better understanding. I am so happy we have found Remy.
