Hi! My name is Anna. I have an undergraduate degree in International Relations and Psychology from Brown University and will be attending Pepperdine Law this year. I have written countless papers during my undergrad. I have also gone through arduous applications for college and law school, and understand the process of showcasing who you are through your best writing. I specialize in helping students build confidence in their reading, writing, and analysis skills, from elementary level to ACT English/Reading, and help students with brainstorming, organizing, and editing college application essays. I also support vocabulary, grammar, and math development.
I have a wide range of tutoring experiences and have taught students of all ages. I tutored several middle and high school students on their writing skills and college application essays through one-on-one lessons. I also taught over 150 adult students for three years on an online tutoring platform, and enhanced their English vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation skills. Additionally, I worked as a volunteer teacher through Brown’s BEAM program, where I created unique lesson plans each week and taught math to third graders. Finally, I worked as an elementary school teacher at a Korean school program for three years; I taught Korean vocabulary and pronunciation, and led activities that helped students embrace their culture.
My tutoring approach is adaptable and structured. I assess students’ learning goals and formulate a personalized plan based on their needs. I am flexible with readjusting our schedule and will determine how I can best assist you or your child. I foster a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and excited to learn, and always offer strong moral support and encouragement.
