Hi! My name is Eshwar, and I am a professional Software Engineer and Arizona State University Computer Science alumnus, as well as an 1800-rated chess coach. I’ve spent years in the industry working at high-growth startups, and I’m here to help you bridge the gap between academic theory and professional-grade engineering.

Software Engineering / Computer Science:

With a 3.6 GPA in Computer Science, 4+ years of industry experience (at two startups and one big company), and a background contributing to open-source projects with over 16,000 stars on GitHub, I have a deep mastery of JavaScript, Python, and Java. I also teach core curriculum subjects like Calculus, Discrete Math, Linear Algebra, and more.

Chess:

I am also a chess coach who is ranked 1800 rapid on Chess.com (top 3 percent of players on the platform). I love teaching chess to adults, kids, new players, and intermediates. Every session with me is one-on-one and tailored to your specific goals. When I first started playing chess in 2021, I had absolutely no experience and was rated around 400. Through consistent practice and studying tactics, strategy, and opening principles, I improved my rating to around 1800 rapid within about eight months.

I am passionate about mentorship and dedicated to helping you build the technical confidence required to succeed in today’s competitive tech landscape, or dominate your family members in chess (haha, I know how satisfying that can be). Let's get to work!

I've successfully helped students across all levels — from absolute beginners to students preparing for technical interviews and upper-division coursework.
Calculus

Calculus

With a Bachelor's in Computer Science from Arizona State University and years of hands-on teaching experience, I help students master derivatives, integrals, limits, and series by breaking concepts down into clear, logical steps. I specialize in building genuine intuition — not just formula memorization — and adapt my approach to each student's specific needs. Students I've worked with consistently see measurable grade improvements and leave sessions with real confidence in the material. Outside of Math, i have four plus years of experience as a software engineer in the industry.

Math & CS Tutoring

I am taking java and foundations of comp sci at my university. Both subjects are confusing right now. Everytime I've met with eshwar he explains it and lets me ask as many questions as I want. He is patient and willing to explain it so that it clicks. He also goes the extra mile by making more simple problems so that you leave the session understanding everything and better equipped to finish off homework.
