I am a native Mandarin speaker and a graduate of Columbia University with a degree in Sociology. My academic background allows me to bring a thoughtful and structured approach to language teaching, and my experience living and studying in both China and the United States helps me connect with students from diverse cultural backgrounds.

I have been tutoring children in Mandarin for several years, working with students between the ages of 4 and 12 in one-on-one and small-group settings. My lessons emphasize communication and confidence building — I use storytelling, songs, and games to make learning fun and interactive, while gradually introducing reading and writing to strengthen language foundations. I also customize lessons to fit each child’s learning style and interests, which keeps them engaged and motivated.
