Hi! I am a current Juilliard Masters student offering both online and in person lessons to violinists of intermediate to advanced levels. Whether you are practicing for school orchestra, just a casual violinist looking to get better, or auditioning for elite music schools, I will accommodate the intensity and difficulty my teaching to your needs. Furthermore, with over five years of teaching experience and fourteen years as a soloist/orchestral musician, I offer a vast understanding of all the musical and technical intricacies of the instrument.
My teaching style revolves on sound itself. Of course, technique and musicality are all important, but when it comes down to it, music is just the production of sound. With all my students, I always start by teaching them to interpret, analyze, and produce a beautiful sound. My job is help my students develop their own sophisticated ideas of sound and lay the fundamentals of being a violinist so that they can become beautiful and unique musicians on their own.
I have been working in the private lesson industry for over seven years. My teaching style combines the Suzuki method as well as etudes and scales to build a solid foundation of technique. Then, I train each student's ability to listen to themselves so that they can learn and develop their playing independently.
I have worked with students on orchestral music, the Suzuki method, chamber music, ABRSM/Allstate auditions, concertos, sonatas, and showpieces among others. Furthermore, I set up a unique teaching regimen for each student, changing the intensity and rigor depending on the student's particular goals.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. I also offer a free 30 min trial lesson. I look forward to listening to you!
