Hi everyone, my name is Jessica and I earned my Master's in English, Literature in May 2019, and I've been tutoring since 2018/ I'm passionate about helping young people excel in their chosen fields, and I believe that having a solid understanding of English can help immensely. I've taught English Composition to college students, basic writing skills to preschool students, personal statement writing to adults hoping to re-enter university, and the common thread between them is always the desire to learn. Whenever I'm teaching something to a student, whether it be basic sentence composition or complex literary theories, it is important to me that we discuss not only the "how" but also the "why." I will always go into detail on how the student can replicate the techniques of our lessons while studying, reading, or writing on their own. The most important thing I can do for my students is help them take the tools they learn with me to help them in the future. Together we will read through, edit, improve, and polish your work in a way that makes YOUR voice shine through.
