I was born and raised in Poland and did not come to the U.S. until I was 25. I speak and write in Polish with my family and friends on a regular basis, and I have taught Polish to English-speaking students. I'm even more fluent in Polish than I am in English, which I teach in college.

Hello, I primarily teach writing/reading classes, so I know about choice of words and everything else that is involved, including vocabulary expansion. I teach vocabulary in the context, so a student sees how words like to go together in so-called collocations, for example. Practice in synonyms, antonyms, prefixes, suffixes, various word forms, etc. will enhance your writing, reading, and speaking skills. It's all-encompassing. Prof. G.

So Patient and Enthusiastic

Dorota has gone above and beyond my expectations and I genuinely look forward to every lesson with her. Fantastic tutor.

Mrs. G. is an excellent tutor. She's very punctual (even when I run a little bit late), she always comes prepared, and she's very patient. She is currently helping me improve my Polish and I'm very pleased so far with the classes that I've had with her. During our lesson she makes me get out of my comfort zone and she makes me speak in Polish as much as possible while avoiding English. She is also big on reviewing information; during our lessons together, we review words and phrases every couple of minutes. Mrs. G. tries to make her lessons as fun and interactive as possible. A couple days ago, we did this exercise in which I had to show her pictures in my cell phone and describe them and answer any questions that she had about them, in Polish. I don't have any complaints yet. Mrs. Dorota G. is a great tutor if you want to learn Polish.
