My SAT of 1450 in 2016 awarded me a presidential scholarship to attend Stony Brook University. I Graduated cum laude in 2021 with a B.S in Biology. I attend medical school at NYITCOM and will graduate in 2026. I will be pursuing a pediatric residency. I was an SAT and grades 5-12 Algebra/Pre-calc/Biology/Chemistry tutor for 2 years at C2 education and taught a semester of biology lab at Stony Brook University. My approach to teaching my subjects is to secure the fundamentals with each student and build the foundation from there. We will go through biology problems such as mitosis and understand why the number of chromosomes changes for each stage. For Chemistry and Anatomy I take step by step approaches to understanding systems and understanding the "why?" as to their function and structure. In Anatomy, the human body is built in a way that is like reading a map. Once I get you coordinated in your location along this "map" we will be able to name the bones, muscles, structure and function of organs and their relation to others. These are topics I had to master and apply in my work daily as a future physician. In chemistry you will master balancing equations, valence electrons and more because of the process of understanding the basics before moving to the next.
I understand and work with people who have difficulty focusing, understanding and motivating. For most of the students I will encounter here, we will outline your goals together and achieve them in a timely manner. SAT and school work has been my areas of teaching and I have taken techniques over the years from veteran tutors and programs. We will work with free response questions, problem repetition, worksheets, and directed learning objectives to do this. Whether you are struggling to focus, are feeling overwhelmed and don't feel like you can learn more, lack confidence or just need a quick refresher, I will be there to assist you.
