Welcome Everyone!

My name is Jillian M. I have been teaching for 7 years in various roles/ environments. I have taught 6th grade Social Studies, English and Math. I also taught 8th grade and was responsible for all subject areas as I was the Special Education teacher. Most recently, I have taught at the JHS and HS level in life skills classrooms working with students on all core subject areas as well as basic daily living skills.

I have various NYS teaching licenses such as: Elementary Education (B-2 and 1-6), Students with Disabilities (B-2, 1-6 and 7-12), and Teaching Literacy K-12. I love tutoring and have been a tutor for the last 2-3 years. I enjoy working on subject areas such as English and Math as those two subjects have always been my favorite throughout my schooling and teaching years. Everyone learns differently and at a different pace and that's why tutoring is so nice because we can tailor the lessons and activities to best suit your needs and preferred learning modality.

Mathematics was my concentration subject in college, so I have extensive knowledge in this area.

I received my Master's Degree in Teaching Literacy K-12. This degree has taught me so much about differentiating and various techniques to help students with reading and writing.
