Hi I'm Rachel! I graduated from Binghamton University magna cum laude with a bachelor's in chemistry. I am currently pursuing a master's degree in adolescent chemistry education and my goal is to become a high school chemistry teacher. I have previous experience in tutoring chemistry through Binghamton University's tutoring services for general chemistry students, whereby I tutored small groups of up to 12 students in a variety of general chemistry concepts. Additionally, through my master's program, I am completing two semesters of fieldwork where I teach in a high school chemistry classroom once a week.
My passion for helping others has always driven me to be the best tutor/teacher I can be. I give 100% of my attention and priority to my students and want nothing more than to help them understand chemistry better than they did before working with me. I will gladly prepare for sessions in advance by drafting up practice problems specific to what the student wants review with. I am patient, flexible, and open to suggestions from students or parents.
