Hi! My name is Hallah, and I'm excited to help you succeed in your studies. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with minors in Health Science and Psychology. I am also certified in phlebotomy and am currently pursuing a career as a physician assistant. I have spent several years gaining hands-on experience in healthcare settings like working as a medical assistant in dermatology and as a medical scribe in both emergency department and outpatient clinics. I worked with multiple specialties including OBGYN. gastroenterology, endocrinology, and more which has strengthened my ability to communicate complex concepts clearly - an important skill I bring into my tutoring especially in Biology and Chemistry.

I’ve been tutoring for a couple of years, working with students of all ages- elementary, middle school, high school, and college students in subjects like math (algebra, geometry, etc.), biology, general science, psychology, and English. I have also helped children with homework through Queens Public Library. Whether one-on-one or in small groups, I focus on breaking down complex topics into simple, relatable ideas. I take time to understand each student’s learning style and tailor my approach to boost their confidence and master the material. I incorporate visuals, analogies, and active recall techniques to reinforce what we cover.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to connect academic concepts to practical, real-world examples from my professional experience. I love to create a supportive community and an interactive environment where students feel comfortable to ask questions.
