I am a recent Columbia SIPA and Sciences Po graduate with advanced degrees in international affairs and a 3.96 GPA, and I have spent the past several years working across four continents in research, policy analysis, and program management. My academic background includes coursework in economics, political science, international development, and quantitative methods, and I completed my dual degree program entirely in French at Sciences Po in Paris, giving me native-level fluency in the language. I am approved to tutor in French, SAT Reading, SAT Writing, ACT Reading, ACT English, and Writing, and I bring a rigorous academic foundation to each of these subjects.

While my tutoring experience has been primarily informal, I have consistently helped peers, colleagues, and younger students with writing, test preparation, and academic skills throughout my academic and professional career. I have worked one-on-one with students on essay structure, argument development, and clarity of expression, drawing on years of producing high-stakes written work for UN agencies, government ministries, and graduate-level academic audiences. My approach is diagnostic and student-centered: I begin by identifying exactly where a student is losing points or struggling, then build a targeted plan around those specific gaps rather than applying a generic curriculum.

What sets me apart is the combination of academic credentials, real-world professional writing experience, and genuine fluency in French developed through immersive study and daily life in Paris. Whether working with a high schooler on SAT Reading strategy, an adult learner building conversational French from the ground up, or a college student developing their academic writing voice, I adapt my style to what each individual student actually needs. My goal in every session is for the student to leave with something concrete and immediately applicable.

Approved Subjects

ACT English

ACT English

Strong grammar and writing mechanics are foundational to my academic and professional work, from policy briefs to UN-level research reports. I help students systematically work through the grammar rules the ACT English section tests most frequently, including punctuation, sentence structure, and rhetorical skills questions. My approach emphasizes pattern recognition so students can move quickly and confidently through the section.
ACT Reading

ACT Reading

My academic and professional background in research and policy writing has made close, efficient reading a core strength. I help students develop the pacing and passage strategy skills the ACT Reading section specifically rewards, including how to prioritize questions and navigate different passage types under time pressure. My focus is on building consistent technique that holds up across every practice test.
French

French

I studied French for over a decade and achieved full professional fluency, including two years living and studying in Paris at Sciences Po, one of France's most prestigious institutions, and working on development projects in Francophone West Africa. My coursework, research, and daily life were conducted entirely in French, giving me deep familiarity with both formal written French and conversational spoken language. I work with students at all levels, from foundational grammar and vocabulary to advanced composition and conversation practice.
SAT Reading

SAT Reading

As a Columbia SIPA graduate with a background in research, policy analysis, and international affairs, close reading and textual analysis are core professional skills I use daily. I help students develop systematic approaches to SAT Reading passages, including identifying main arguments, understanding tone and purpose, and eliminating trap answers efficiently. My approach focuses on building transferable reading strategies rather than just drilling practice questions.
Writing

Writing

I have spent years producing high-stakes written work across academic, policy, and professional contexts, including research for UN agencies, risk analysis briefs, and graduate-level academic writing at Columbia and Sciences Po. I work with students on structure, clarity, and voice, whether they are writing college application essays, academic papers, or developing their general writing skills. My approach is direct and feedback-driven, helping students understand not just what to fix but why, so they improve across the board.
