I have spent the better part of my adult life in academics. I enjoy learning and feel honored to pass on my enthusiasm and joy to other students who want to learn. I have a diverse background. I have worked as a counselor for over 10 years with children and families with emotional and behavioral issues. I have experience working with such disorders as Autism, ADHD, Depression, and Bipolar Disorder. I have worked as a hospice volunteer and also in the inpatient hospice unit helping and caring for people at the end of their lives. I have also volunteered at the Crime Victims Assistance Center and am a Certified Rape and Abuse Counselor. Finally, my PhD is in Psychology and my field of interest is Autism. I am in the middle of completing my Dissertation and consider myself to be an expert in the field. I have worked extensively with children who have been diagnosed with Autism.
I feel that I am a patient person and I thoroughly love to teach students. My philosophy is "Knowledge is power" and feel that nobody can get too much education. I feel it is an honor and a privilege to be able to assist someone in learning and I look forward to helping in any way I can.
