Hi, I'm Isaac, a first-year student at UPenn, pursuing an undergraduate degree in Psychology on the pre-med track. I improved my score by 200 points to a 1550 on the SAT (790 Math, 760 R&W) and have taken 16 AP courses, scoring multiple 5s.

Being a recent high school graduate, I know firsthand what it takes to excel in the most challenging AP courses and standardized tests. My knowledge of the current curriculum and exam formats is fresh. Not only can I teach the material, but I can also teach strategies, whether it be the shortcuts, the study habits, and the 'test-day' mindset that actually earned me top marks.

Additionally, as an expert in National History Day, having been to Nationals 3 times and placing as a top 10 finalist, I provided specialized coaching on historical research, project organization, and high-level analytical writing.

I've also recently earned NY EMT and NREMT certifications this month, so the exam content, format, and question style are fresh in my mind. I passed the NREMT with a minimum of 70 questions and scored high on the NY EMT exam.

I work well with students across K-12, having personally volunteered at many children’s after-school programs and being a lifetime tutor to a sibling. I know firsthand that everyone has their own learning style, and I will do everything in my power to tailor my instruction to those needs. I’m currently accepting new students throughout the school year. If you’re looking for someone to help you build confidence and master your coursework, feel free to reach out!

Approved Subjects

Biology

Biology

I scored a 5 on the AP Biology exam and earned an A+ in the course, along with a recommendation letter from my AP Bio teacher for my performance. I'm currently a pre-med student at the University of Pennsylvania, actively taking biology coursework, so the material and exam strategies stay fresh rather than years out of date. My biology background goes beyond the classroom too; I studied independently for Science Olympiad and my own learning, giving me a deeper grasp of the subject than a typical AP course alone provides. As an experienced AP exam taker (16 APs), I know the test-taking strategies that matter and still have detailed notes and materials from my own prep that I can use to help you succeed.
EMT/ NREMT

EMT/ NREMT

I earned my NY EMT and NREMT certifications this month, so the exam content, format, and question style are fresh in my mind. I passed the NREMT with a minimum 70 questions and scored high on the NY EMT exam. I have a comprehensive study reference sheet and a large bank of practice questions covering patient assessment, airway management, cardiac emergencies, and more, and we can start using them right away. Having tutored students before, I break concepts down step by step and explain why each answer is right, so you're ready for any question on test day.
Regents

Regents

I scored between 97 and 100 on nine Regents exams, including Algebra I (100), Algebra II (99), Geometry (97), Living Environment (100), Chemistry (98), Earth Science (99), Global History (100), US History & Government (100), and English (98). Because I took these exams recently, I know the format, the question styles, and the common traps on each one. I'm currently a pre-med student at the University of Pennsylvania, and I took 16 AP exams in high school, so I can also help students build the test-taking strategies that carry over to any exam. I'll focus on the specific topics and question types costing you points, and I still have my own notes and study materials to share.
SAT Math

SAT Math

I scored a 790 on the Math section of the SAT and have earned A+ grades in every math course from Algebra 1 through Calculus, including NY Regents scores of 100, 97, and 99, and a 5 on the AP Calculus exam. As a current student at the University of Pennsylvania, I bring a strong, well-rounded math background rather than expertise in just one narrow area. My teaching style is methodical rather than flashy; I focus on solid study habits, step-by-step note-taking, and careful, organized calculations so students build real understanding while also developing smart shortcuts and tricks. I've already tutored several students in Algebra 1 and know how to break down problems in a way that actually sticks.
United States History

United States History

I earned a 5 on the AP U.S. History exam and an A+ in the class, and I served as President of my high school's History Research Club. Through National History Day, I researched topics like Pearl Harbor and the tobacco industry in depth, giving me a strong sense of how historical arguments are built and supported with evidence. I'm well-versed in writing every type of AP US History essay — LEQs, SAQs, and DBQs — and can teach the historical reasoning skills (causation, comparison, continuity and change) that graders actually look for. I can help with everything from understanding course content to sharpening essay structure and argumentation for the exam to knowing how to prepare for unit tests.
World History

I earned a 5 on the AP World History exam and an A+ in the class, and I served as President of my high school's History Research Club. Through National History Day, I researched topics like Pearl Harbor and Angel Island in depth, which gave me a strong sense of how to build and support historical arguments with evidence.
