Hi, I’m Jarin. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences with a concentration in Osteopathy, and I am currently a first-year medical student. Throughout my undergraduate career, I consistently earned recognition on the President’s List and maintained a 4.0 GPA. My academic success was shaped by professors and mentors who challenged me, encouraged me, and helped me develop strong study habits. Their support inspired me to do the same for other students by making difficult material feel more manageable and helping students build confidence in their own abilities.
I have over four years of tutoring experience, mainly in science and math subjects, including biology, chemistry, Earth science, and SAT preparation. I have worked with students one-on-one across different learning levels, including younger students who needed support with handwriting, grammar, and writing, as well as students preparing for more advanced coursework and exams. My tutoring approach is personalized and structured. I often use lesson plans, worksheets, guided practice problems, and practice tests to identify where a student is struggling and then focus closely on those areas. After each lesson, I encourage students to review what we covered and complete additional practice so they can strengthen their understanding outside of our sessions.
My goal as a tutor is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them become more confident, independent learners. I try to create a comfortable and supportive environment where students feel safe asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process. I am also open to feedback, resources, or suggestions from parents and students so that each lesson fits the student’s specific needs. I am easy to reach, responsive, and committed to helping each student succeed. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a lesson.
