Hi! My name is Aarushi, and I recently completed my Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity and Business at Northeastern University. While my academic background is technical, I have always had a strong passion for writing and communication. I scored highly in AP English courses, and my own Common App essay was often shared as an example for how clearly it examined tradition through a personal lens, drawing on historical perspectives to make a broader point. Alongside academics, much of my high school experience centered on leadership and mentorship. I founded a global nonprofit focused on cybersecurity education and awareness, where I worked closely with high school and middle school students on goal-setting, extracurricular development, and learning cybersecurity fundamentals.
Throughout college, I led student organizations (President and VP of multiple STEM clubs) and served as a teaching assistant for multiple cybersecurity and business courses across several semesters. I worked with students both in classroom settings and one-on-one, was rated highly by students, and was promoted to lead teaching assistant. In parallel, I’ve helped students brainstorm and refine college essays, identify extracurriculars that genuinely align with their interests, and present their experiences in a clear, thoughtful, and authentic way. My approach is structured yet encouraging, focused on understanding each student’s background and helping them communicate their story with confidence.
What I enjoy most about tutoring is helping students and families feel supported during a stressful time. I understand the pressure to succeed and the importance of making the most of one’s situation. Rather than following a formula, I aim to meet students where they are, help them clarify their goals, and guide them toward presenting a version of themselves that reflects both their hard work and who they truly are. I'm excited to help students in any way, whether that's getting them ready for their classes, or their college apps/essays.
