I am a high school music teacher in Taiwan (please consider that when requesting a lesson). I specialize in chorus and music theory. I have been teaching for the last eleven years. The curriculum covered in my courses varies from the foundations of vocal technique, music literacy, and music history. I formerly prepared students for the AP Music Theory exam and for solo festival performances. Currently I am working to prepare students for the Degree Program in IB Music.

I became a teacher because I love to sing, and I wanted to share that passion. As time has gone on, I have developed new interests beyond solo singing, including choral music and theory. I enjoy working with students to understand the context of music in history and to help them develop an understanding of harmony.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and a Master's Degree in Choral Conducting. I have taken the complete survey of music in Western culture, with specific courses in opera and composers such as Gustav Mahler and Richard Wagner. I have experience in vocal pedagogy and anatomy classes. I also have experience in choral arranging.
I have extensive experience as a solo singer and choral musician. I previously served as an adjudicator with the New York State School Music Association. For five years I taught AP Music Theory and prepared students in aural skills and sight-singing skills.
If you are interested in improving your singing voice, or even getting started, reach out! If you want to understand music theory or history, I would love to work with you!
