I enjoy tutoring to help students thrive in all they do. I am an ELA teacher and I am certified to teach Grades 1-6 and English Grades 7-12. My education major at Queens College and 5 years of teaching experience has allowed me to obtain many techniques and strategies to teach any subject and my english major has enhanced my ability to help students in English Language Arts, reading and writing.
Although my focus is ELA, while studying elementary math during my coursework, I have found techniques and resources to help students better understand math as well.

I have always loved working with children and I enjoy seeing them make progress and flourish. Having students come to me, excited and feeling accomplished is the best feeling. I tell all my students, if you try your best then I know you can do it.

I have experience working with many different age groups and grades, with students of many different backgrounds. I have learned that every student is different and may need different strategies to learn. I have worked as an after school program for a year providing homework help to students in grades K-3 and I have been tutoring for 4 years now with a focus on reading and writing. Having worked with students with ADHD and learning disabilities, I hope to use my experiences and teaching abilities to help meet the needs of your child.

I make sure to make my tutoring sessions engaging for each child. I treat the students I tutor as if they were my own student in my classroom. I hope to use my passion to help children, one on one, become successful, and find their love for learning. My goal is to let your child know that they can achieve anything. I want to make learning engaging for each individual child and tutoring allows me to do so.
