Hi! I’m Queen, a certified and experienced Biology teacher dedicated to helping students succeed in science.
I hold a Master’s degree in Education and am certified to teach Biology grades 7–12. I’m a proud graduate of the NYC Teaching Fellows program, where I was trained to support diverse learners in high-need schools. Over the past few years, I’ve taught high school Biology and AP Biology in New York City public schools, including co-teaching ICT classes that serve students with IEPs and English Language Learners.
In my classroom, I’ve helped students achieve remarkable growth—many of my students who previously struggled with science passed the NYS Living Environment Regents after working with me. I believe in building student confidence through clear explanations, real-world connections, and scaffolded instruction. I use visual aids, interactive questioning, and formative assessments to ensure students deeply understand each concept.
I’ve worked with students from grades 6–12 in both classroom and one-on-one settings, and I adapt my tutoring style to fit the needs of each learner—whether they’re preparing for the Regents, catching up on missed content, or striving for a top score in Honors or AP Biology.
If you’re looking for a tutor who’s not only certified and experienced but also passionate about making Biology approachable and engaging, I’d love to work with you or your child!
