Hello, I'm Yifei Xu! I am a New York University undergraduate majoring in Computer Science and Data Science. It is my pleasure to help you learn well. I am passionate about Math and Computer Science. At NYU, I have learned and scored A's in Calculus, Linear Algebra, Python, Java, and the basics of Data Science. During my high school experience, I received a score of 5 in AP Calculus BC and AP Statistics. I have scored 790 in SAT Math as well.
I have been an online 1v1 Math tutor for a year. I have tutored one elementary student and one middle school student needing math help. During my tutoring session, they are free to ask any questions about homework and materials learned in class. For every question, I try my best to guide them to find the answer by asking some small questions to solve the problem. If they are still stuck on the problem, I will give more hints until they find the answer. After my tutoring and guidance, their Math grades have increased from C to A.
At NYU, I have helped my classmates study Python and Java after class. When they have difficulties understanding concepts and completing homework, they are willing to ask me and study with me. I always try my best to explain how and why things work in detail until my classmates understand the materials.
