my daughter is a typical eye-rolling 15 yo who hates this material despite being a bright kid who does well in other classes. John approached her with positivity and integrity and she responded in kind immediately. Their first lesson went well. She was attentive and organized. Jonn knows what he's doing and how to work with teens. We will be seeing him twice a week until the grade is in tact.

Great teacher!!

My 12 yr old son's dislike in math has made it hard for him to learn and do the practice. John knows how to work around his personality and gets him to focus and have a more pleasant experience with math. He is very patient and is strategic in his approach. We hope to continue working with John and hopefully to convince my son that math is not scary, and can be enjoyable too.

Moving in the right direction

This is our third lesson. John is addressing the issues with my son’s learning one by one. After evaluating that my son has the proper understanding on the subject matter, John takes into consideration how the timing on his problem solving skill might be affected in the school environment and strategically tackle this issue. John indicates now that we know how to get to the answers, it is time to learn how to get to that point faster. I appreciate the fact that John took the care in not just teaching but also care for how this applies in real life too.
