Dear students and families,
My name is Diana R., and I am an art educator with a Bachelor’s degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. I have several years of experience working with children, both in academic settings and through creative workshops. I have taught primary school students in Colombia and have also led summer art classes in New York, where I guide children in exploring painting, drawing, and color theory in a fun and engaging way. My experience also includes illustrating a children’s book and exhibiting my artwork, which allows me to bring both technical knowledge and real artistic practice into my teaching.
My teaching approach focuses on creativity, confidence, and hands-on learning. I believe every child can express themselves through art, so I create a supportive and inspiring environment where students feel comfortable experimenting and developing their skills. I introduce concepts like primary and secondary colors, composition, and basic techniques through interactive activities that are both educational and enjoyable. My goal is not only to teach art, but also to help students build focus, patience, and self-expression while enjoying the creative process.
