As a writing tutor and mentor, I have been working with high school and college students for over five years, to boost their confidence and grow their academic and creative writing skills. I love hearing about students' interests outside the classroom, as I incorporate their passions and hobbies as ways to draw out their voice in their writing.
I have taught screenwriting to high schoolers in after school programs, volunteered online with nonprofits centering marginalized writers, and have given screenwriting and film production talks at festivals and industry panels.
I have a Bachelor's degree from Ithaca College where I graduated cum laude with a major in Film and a minor in Creative Writing. When I'm not writing short sci-fi stories or humor essays, I enjoy yoga, travel, and reading memoirs.
