Jaffe is a Cornell University alum who earned his BS and MEng in Operations Research and Financial Engineering. As a result, he is well versed in STEM material. He taught high school students through a tutoring program and college students as a Teaching Assistant. He also volunteers to help teach in scuba diving courses. He enjoyed all his teaching positions immensely as he was given the opportunity to help students make connections, learn the material and gain more confidence and interest in the subjects.
Jaffe’s practiced tutoring style is to excite students about the subject and make it easier to understand by forming connections to other things the students know and experience. He enjoys the challenge of finding the best way for each particular student to learn and explaining the subjects in that particular way. He is incredibly positive and motivating and helps to making learning fun, like solving a puzzle.
