I am currently a junior at Cornell University studying Nutritional Sciences on the pre-med track. Through my coursework, I have developed a strong foundation in biology, chemistry, and quantitative subjects, including general chemistry, organic chemistry, microbiology, physics, calculus, and statistics. These experiences have strengthened my ability to approach complex scientific and mathematical problems with clarity and structure. I also scored a 1560 on the SAT, including a perfect 800 in Math, which allows me to support students preparing for the SAT with both content and test-taking strategies.
In addition to my academic background, I have teaching experience as a teaching assistant for biochemistry and microbiology. During the school year, I spend several hours each week working directly with students in a one-on-one and small-group setting, answering questions, guiding them through difficult concepts, and helping them work through practice problems. These experiences have taught me how to effectively adapt my explanations to diverse learning styles and focus on helping students understand the reasoning behind concepts rather than relying on memorization alone. When students understand why something works, they are much more confident tackling new problems independently.
I am most comfortable tutoring biology, chemistry, and SAT math, particularly for high school students and those taking introductory college-level courses. My goal is to create a supportive and low-pressure environment where students feel comfortable asking any questions and building confidence in subjects that may initially feel intimidating. I aim to help students not only improve their performance, but also develop a deeper understanding that makes learning more rewarding.
