Hi everyone, my name is Matthew and I am a Cornell University alumni who studied Food Science. At Cornell I received a GPA of 4.0 and graduated with Summa Cum Laude Latin Honors.

I have extensive tutoring experience, with over two years of tutoring completed in French, Biology, and Chemistry from Princeton High School. I have also provided informal tutoring sessions for peers at Cornell in General Chemistry (2070 and 2080) and Organic Chemistry (3570 and 3580), having received an A/A+ for all courses.

Additionally, I have provided professional guidance in career exploration, interview preparation, and resume/cover letter reviews through my employment with CALS Student Services. I have been extensively trained by experienced guidance counselors in these subjects, and hold 3+ years of experience with over 500 meetings completed through this role.

Since then, for the past four years I have helped tutor neighbors and friends in the reading subject, helping develop skills including synthesizing passages in a short period of time, and studying question types to predict likely answers.

As a student in my first year of university, I was trained by colleagues in the Cornell College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Student Services Office (average of 15 years of experience) for performing resume review, cover letter review, and career counseling sessions with fellow university students. Over my 3 years of employment through this role, I have been certified to lead 1-1 meetings with students for first time and follow up resume/CV/cover letter review sessions, and have held over 500 of these types of meetings. I am able to provide advice on improving resume/CV bullet points, fixing resume/CV format, improving the flow of cover letters, and tailoring resumes and cover letters towards specific job postings.
