I am a computer science student at Cornell University with a strong academic foundation in mathematics, physics, and engineering. I’ve completed advanced coursework in programming, data structures, and algorithms, and have experience working on hands-on projects involving robotics, app development, and data analysis. These experiences have taught me how to think critically, problem-solve creatively, and explain complex ideas in a way that makes sense to others.
I’ve been tutoring for several years, helping students from elementary to middle school through high school in subjects such as computer science, math, and Spanish. As a Spanish speaker, I tutored for Sol Tutors and served as an outreach coordinator -- a free Spanish tutoring program for our local public schools. I enjoy helping students strengthen their grammar, vocabulary, and conversational skills through interactive lessons that go beyond textbook learning. Whether I’m explaining loops and recursion in code or guiding a student through verb conjugations, I always tailor my approach to how each person learns best.
My tutoring style is centered on understanding and confidence-building. I focus on breaking down challenging concepts into simple, intuitive steps and encourage students to ask questions, make mistakes, and think out loud. I believe learning should feel engaging and empowering — not intimidating. Watching students go from uncertainty to genuine curiosity and independence is what makes teaching so rewarding for me.
