Hi! My name is Miles, and I am passionate about helping students succeed! I am a senior majoring in neuroscience at the University of Pennsylvania.

Through Penn's undergraduate tutoring program, I have tutored university level physics I and II, general chemistry I and II, general biology I and II, and neuroscience classes. Today, I am an Orgo II TA at Penn, where I help lead a recitation and hold office hours for Penn undergrads!

In high school, I tutored several underclassmen to improve their grades on all sections of the SAT. The students that I have had that retook the exam have seen large increases in their scores as a result of the hard work they put into studying with my help! I have developed individualized testing strategies that will help students improve their performance based on what aspect of the exam they struggle with (time, certain question types, etc.) For all students, I focus on teaching difficult concepts to students that will be tested. My belief is that once these concepts are mastered, the results will speak for themselves!

The majority of my experience with tutoring comes from my tutoring through Wyzant, where I have tutored students in high school/AP level classes such as geometry, algebra 1, algebra 2, pre-calculus, AP Calc BC, AP lit, AP lang, AP Physics 1 & 2, AP Physics C, and AP Chemistry as well as standardized tests such as the SAT and ACT. I also have experience tutoring elementary school, middle school, and undergraduate students!

I hope to be a knowledgeable tutor and a friend to the students that I work with. I believe that academics should be made as fun and interesting as possible.
