I am a Stony Brook University Interdisciplinary Biology graduate (B.S.) with certifications as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S.) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, a Corrective Exercise Specialist (C.E.S.) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and a Fitness Nutrition Specialist (F.N.S.) through the American Council on Exercise. I enjoy helping students understand science in a way that is engaging, practical, and applicable to the real world. Whether your child is curious about the natural world, preparing for exams, or looking to connect science concepts to their own health and athletic performance, I aim to make learning clear, fun, and memorable. My approach combines strong academic grounding with real-life examples to help concepts stick.

I have experience working one-on-one with people of all ages. I focus on building curiosity and confidence first, tailoring lessons to each student’s learning style and pace. For younger students, I use interactive explanations, analogies, and work “on their level” to spark interest. For aspiring athletes or students interested in sports science, I bring in anatomy, physiology, and training concepts that make the material come alive and relate directly to their goals.

In addition to tutoring science, I help students understand health, fitness, and performance principles. I have guided athletes from age 11 to 84, from school athletics, to professional athletes learning the science behind exercise, recovery, nutrition, and body mechanics, helping them make informed decisions that enhance both performance and long-term wellness. My sessions are flexible, supportive, and student-centered, creating an environment where learners feel comfortable asking questions, exploring ideas, and gaining skills they can apply beyond the classroom.

B.S. Interdisciplinary Biology, Specialized in Strength and Conditioning. Very proficient in human anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics.
Elementary Math

Elementary Math

Although my degree is in Interdisciplinary Biology, my coursework and research required extensive use of mathematics, including algebra, statistics, and calculus. This experience gives me a deep understanding of math concepts from the ground up, so I can break them down into simple, intuitive steps for elementary students. I excel at translating complex ideas into clear, approachable explanations, making even ‘simple’ math easy for students to understand and enjoy. Having worked with higher-level mathematics myself, I can confidently guide students through foundational arithmetic, fractions, basic geometry, and problem-solving strategies, ensuring a solid mathematical foundation for future learning.
