My name is Connor, and I graduated from SUNY Albany with a degree in accounting in 2022. A year later, I earned my Masters in Taxation from SUNY Old Westbury. While there, I began studying for the CPA, and passed FAR, REG, AUD and BEC on the first try! I received my CPA license in April 2024. I currently work in the big 4 as a Tax Senior Associate in the Asset Management practice. (Think Hedge funds and Blackrock)

I have extensive experience in partnership tax, Financial accounting, and technology. When it comes to taking the CPA, I passed by taking the "Fluff" out of the lesson and focusing on the key points. Hammering MCQs and Sims can be time consuming, and sometimes, you feel like you are getting nowhere. I've been there, and I am excited to supplement your material with clear explanations, as well as give tips to take the 4 hour test, without losing your marbles! First, we focus on the point of the subject at hand. That is, we figure out what the lesson is teaching, and simplify the terms so that you can understand it and retain it. Second, we employ what I like to call progressive overload. That is, we nearly master a module before moving on to the next, adding slightly more energy to each module as they get more difficult. Finally, we employ active recall (So important!), the process of answering questions from previous modules routinely, so that you do not forget them, and remain a master of them all!
Finally, I can assist with technology. I work in excel daily and have been on the frontlines of the ever changing AI landscape. Learning excel is one thing, but utilizing AI to assist your CPA journey can also prove invaluable! From making acronyms, to explaining the toughest concepts, proper prompts into AI will help you on your journey greatly.
Thanks for taking the time out to consider me, and I look forward to working with you in the future!
