I was then accepted into the CUNY School of Medicine were I majored in biomedical sciences and minored in psychology. There, I took and passed step 1 after taking the "PASS program". At the Pass Program, I learned many test-taking skills. For example, reading the last line of the question to determine whether the question is asking for a "clue or concept". Then, reading the beginning of the questions stem, and then identifying differential diagnoses. Then, when reviewing the answer choices also starting for the bottom and working your work to the top determining which answer choices are relevant. I then transferred into Xavier University School of Medicine were I completed all of the third year core rotations and passed all of my shelf exams. I'm currently finishing 4th year electives and gearing up to apply for residency.
We can begin with an NBME to determine what your strengths and weaknesses are and then come up for a study plan that is best for you in achieving your academic goals. I've worked with many other tutors before who have implemented similar methods and they have worked for me in the past.
I can offer my experiences and expertise in test-taking to help you to achieve your goals in studying for the USMLEs. I also have teaching experience. I worked with a non-profit organization called "Mentoring in Medicine" were I had the privilege of being a instructor of 4th grade students interested in learning more about the sciences. There, I've demonstrated leadership, collaborative, and organizational skills and we worked with high-energy elementary students.
