Hi! My name is Rishi A. and I am a freshman at the University of Pennsylvania studying biochemistry. Over the past few years as a tutor, I have found that teaching is the ideal way for me to express my passion for math and science while helping someone else comprehend new concepts in an understandable way. I know how to adapt to meet different student's needs and am always hoping to make each and every student comfortable and confident for their exams.
I have been working as a tutor since the beginning of high school in various subjects. Previously, I worked as a tutor at a well-known math learning center teaching students in mathematics (elementary, middle school, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Pre-Calculus). As an freshman studying biochemistry in college, I also have a strong math and science background earning A's in all classes.
Having received a nearly perfect SAT score (1580), I am also available for SAT Math/Reading/Writing tutoring. I will work with students to provide tips and tricks for cracking the SAT, work on practice problems from practice exams and textbooks, and guide them through pacing themselves throughout this timed exam.
Finally, I am available for AP test prep for various exams: AP Psychology, AP Biology, AP Calculus BC, AP Chemistry, AP US Government and Politics. I am a national AP Scholar with Distinction and have earned 5's on all of these exams.
