As a Cornell University graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Applied Economics and Management, and Agricultural Studies, I bring a multidisciplinary perspective to education. My teaching experience spans both one-on-one tutoring and classroom settings, where I've worked with students from elementary school through undergraduate levels.

My teaching journey began in high school, where I tutored peers in Algebra, Calculus, Physics, Statistics, Financial Accounting, and History. At Cornell, I expanded my tutoring repertoire to include computer science and business courses. As Head Teaching Assistant for an upper-level business course for two consecutive years, I developed customized learning materials that addressed diverse learning needs and enhanced student comprehension. My substitute teaching experience in K-12 classrooms has consistently earned recognition for three strengths: adaptability in teaching approaches, comprehensive subject knowledge, and the ability to form meaningful connections with students that enhance both learning and retention. These relationships create a foundation of trust that encourages intellectual curiosity and academic growth.

I believe passionately that education is a universal right, and that effective teaching must honor the variety of ways in which people learn. This conviction drives my approach to STEM subjects in particular. Having observed how the abstract nature of mathematics, science, and computer science can alienate students, I've developed techniques to contextualize theoretical concepts within students' existing knowledge frameworks and demonstrate their real-world applications. By connecting algorithms to social media platforms they use daily or showing how physics explains everyday phenomena, I transform abstract theories into tangible, relevant tools.

I am working now to become an AP Calculus and Computer Science teacher. I would love to help you learn!

Approved Subjects

Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I have been using and tutoring this subject for 10+ years now! I have mastered it and the teaching of it at all levels. I have been slowly creating an accelerated curriculum for all levels.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

Algebra II is one of my favorite subjects to teach. I tutor it every year and have over eight years of experience in it. I am also considering teaching it once I get certified as a teacher. I can tutor at every level of this subject.
Geometry

Geometry

I love geometry and believe it is one of the most practical mathematics subjects to learn. I have been learning and teaching it for 9+ years at all levels. Also, I am considering teaching this subject once I am certified as a teacher.
Machine Learning/ AI

Machine Learning/ AI

At Cornell, I completed multiple machine learning courses while simultaneously applying these concepts to personal research projects. Since graduation, I've continued my education through advanced texts like "Probabilistic Machine Learning" and "The Elements of Statistical Learning," consistently implementing theoretical concepts into working code. I'm particularly passionate about machine learning's potential for developing non-invasive early detection systems for neurological disorders like Alzheimer's Disease.
