Hello, I'm Justin. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's in both Biology and Psychology, due to graduate from Stony Brook Renaissance School of Medicine. I always enjoyed teaching underclassman from my personal experiences and helping pave the way, and I wanted to find more opportunities to be able to use my knowledge to help the youth wherever they are in their journey. I use lesson plans built from a mix of the needs of the student/curriculum provided b their school or institution together with my own knowledge for important tie-ins and information for the class and beyond. I supply materials to take back after the session to work on and reinforce what was taught, to be briefly reviewed next session to help commit to memory.
I have 3 years of experience teaching undergraduate Biology and chemistry, ranging from molecular biology to AP level, working directly with students and working through classwork and homework topics. I always ensure the student understands what was reviewed before the session ends, even if it means spending a little more time, whatever it takes to make sure they know what they need to succeed. Other topics I cover include MCAT/ACT review, with a 520 on MCAT (132 on Biology, 131 Psychology, everything 90th percentile+) and 31 on the ACT, qualified to teach many divisions of Biology, General Chemistry, Algebra, Psychology at the college and high-school level, as well as below.
I encourage students and parents to send any suggestions and/or resources that may be applicable to get the most out of the session. I check back frequently for timely responses, feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a session!
