Currently, I work in environmental consulting, where I manage quantitative data and technical reporting. Prior to this, I served as a Regional Assistant Biologist for the New York State Office of Parks. Across all my instructional and professional roles, my focus is the same: translating complex, intimidating datasets into clear, manageable steps. My background directly bridges the gap between technical science and clear communication. I hold an M.S. in Environmental Science and Ecology from SUNY Brockport, where I served as a graduate teaching assistant. I also hold a B.A. in Biology (Plant Science concentration) alongside a B.A. in English with a writing minor. Because of this dual focus, my students and clients trust me to help them with both the statistics and writing sides of science.

At the National Park Service, I developed and implemented generalized additive mixed models (GAMMs) to assess long-term fish population responses to drought and flood cycles, integrating water quality and hydrological datasets through custom R and API scripts. My graduate thesis used mixed-effects and multivariate models to study plant community dynamics and litter effects in oak openings. I specialize in teaching statistical modeling, experimental design, and R-based data visualization for ecological research.
