Phenomenal instructor
I am lucky to live near Julie to do in-person tutoring. She has taken the time to carefully listen and hear me when I explain what specific issues I need help with in my law school studies. Unlike the formulaic study professor at my school who is always trying to squeeze a squre peg into a round hole, Julie listens and approaches issues that uniquely leverages the skills that make the most sense *for me*. As someone who is nerodivergent and with a reading disability, Julie unlocked what felt like a mental barrier to develop study skills, tips, and techniques that have improved my studying and practice test taking. Just like with law school, you get out of a tutor; what you put into the work and communications Julie gives back in abundace to invested, dedicated students. She is flexible, empathetic, and most importantly knows how to truly TEACH law subjects exceptionally well. I have so much more confidence and specific "attack plans" now, as I prepare for final exams! I plan to stick with Julie throughout my legal education, to keep honing my study and exam writing skills. She's has truly changed by legal education experience for the better, and I am forever grateful.

This Tutor is a game changer!
Julie S. worked with my son when he was considering changing his major.He was studying cyber security but was not enjoying it and didn't know what else to do. Julie worked with him, helping him discover what his interests were and what he would enjoy learning. After one session he was able to narrow his interests and is now happy with what he has chosen. His anxiety around school has lessened considerably. Julie then helped him with his organization and study skills. He enjoyed working with Julie very much and was always enthusiastic about their tutoring sessions. His confidence has increased since working with Julie. I cannot say enough about how much I appreciate her work and I am SO HAPPY we found her.

Julie is a very knowledgeable and caring tutor. I had multiple sessions with her for my legal writing, especially to prepare for the California Bar Exam Performance Test. She has been very patient to help me improve my writing. I was blown away when she corrected my essays and walked me through how to write persuasively. Now I can confidently write persuasive memorandums. Also, Julie really cares about her students and knows their needs. I really enjoy meeting with Julie to cover any questions I have regarding the material for my criminology class. Online classes are challenging for me, because I don’t get a chance to discuss my thoughts on the material and Julie has made this experience so much easier for me.
