Hi! I’m a high school math teacher with over five years of experience teaching Middle School Math, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus in a public school setting. I work with students in grades 8–12 every day, so I understand what teachers are looking for on quizzes, tests, and exams. I’ve supported honors students, struggling learners, and co-taught classes, and I have a lot of experience helping students who feel like they’re “just not good at math.” My goal is always to make math feel clear, manageable, and less overwhelming.
My teaching style is structured but relaxed. I focus on helping students understand why something works, not just what steps to memorize. I break problems into smaller pieces, model my thinking out loud, and then guide students as they practice on their own. I’m big on building confidence — once students see that they can do it, their performance improves quickly. I regularly help with homework support, test prep, Regents-style questions, and long-term skill building.
