I hold a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Long Island University Post (2024-2026) and a Bachelor of Technology in Medical Biotechnology from Dr. D.Y. Patil Biotechnology and Bioinformatics Institute in India, graduating with a 9.04 out of 10 CGPA. My coursework and research span molecular biology, genomics and proteomics, immunology, biochemistry, pharmacology, and bioinformatics, giving me a strong foundation across the biology and chemistry topics most high school and college students need help with.
For the past year and a half I have worked as a Teaching Assistant for undergraduate chemistry labs at Long Island University, training students individually and in small groups on lab techniques, safety, and problem solving, while helping them understand the chemistry behind each experiment. I have also spent over two years as a graduate and undergraduate researcher on independent projects in microbiology, cell biology, and nanotechnology, including a thesis on an antibiotic delivery system that reduced bacterial biofilm growth by 44 percent. Because I have done the research myself, I can connect textbook material to how these concepts play out in real experiments, which helps abstract ideas click rather than stay memorized facts.
My tutoring approach is patient and student led. I start by finding where a student is genuinely stuck, whether a gap in fundamentals or trouble applying a concept to a new problem, then break it down step by step using analogies and real world examples instead of repeating textbook definitions. I work well with high school students preparing for AP Biology or AP Chemistry, college students in introductory and intermediate biology, chemistry, biochemistry, and microbiology courses, and pre-med students preparing for the MCAT. I am fluent in English, Hindi, and Marathi, which has helped me connect with students from many backgrounds. My goal every session is real understanding and confidence, not just finishing the assignment in front of us.
