Hello everyone! I grew up in New York. I followed a traditional career path into medicine. I went to Stony Brook University for my undergraduate studies where I majored in Economics and double minored in biology and chemistry. My GPA was 3.99. During that time, I was a teacher assistant for both physics and organic chemistry where for each session there was office hours 1-2 times per week where I worked with students one on one. Afterwards, I was fortunate enough to be accepted to the Donald Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell where I developed my love and passion for internal medicine. My USMLE Step 1 score was 237 with a Step 2 score of 245.
Subsequently thereafter, I applied for residency and matched at Northwell Health-NS/LIJ for internal medicine. After spending three years as a resident I was accepted to do another year as chief. As chief resident I was heavily involved in mentoring other residents and setting up teaching sessions regarding various topics to review for the medicine boards along with discussion regarding career path choices. I passed my ABIM Internal Medicine Board exam in August of 2021. In addition, during my chief residency I applied for fellowship in Cardiology and now am a currently first year fellow at Northwell Health-NS/LIJ taking care of patients with various cardiac diseases and ailments.
