My name is Humaira. I am a speech-language pathologist. I work with individuals who have developmental disabilities. My past experiences include teaching as a lecturer at Nazareth College of Rochester. I taught in an English-language learning program which was developed to teach and further students' English proficiency. My areas of specialty are in teaching the TOEFL-iBT Preparation course for students. I taught this course to intermediate and advanced students. I have been teaching the TOEFL course for several years now in various institutions, and am well trained in the test methodology and preparatory work required. I also taught grammar and writing class to beginners, intermediate, and advanced students at Nazareth. Additionally, I tutor students one-on-one in areas of reading, pronunciation, accent reduction and listening comprehension.
My educational background is in Speech-Language Pathology which has provided me with years of training in improving accents by correcting sound production through tactile, visual, and sensory inputs, in non-native speakers of English.
I love to teach, especially to students learning English. My educational and professional background is very diverse which allows me to be very innovative in my teaching methods allowing you to maximize your learning opportunities.
