Hello! My name is Kevin, a Sophomore attending Wentworth Institute of Technology in the heart of Boston pursing my Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in Aerospace. My tutoring style is grounded in clarity, patience, and fun. I focus on breaking complex problems into small, understandable steps while keeping the student connected with the material. I prioritize student comfort and confidence, encouraging them to step out of their comfort zone with or without math. Every student learns differently, so I adapt my approach — whether that’s through visuals, repetition, guided practice, or step-by-step walkthroughs. My goal is always to make math feel less intimidating and more approachable, no matter the topic.
During high school, I served as a peer tutor in Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Pre-Calculus, often helping classmates prepare for exams or tackle homework after school. I also regularly assisted peers with Calculus-related problems, even though I wasn’t officially assigned as their tutor — they knew they could count on me to explain tough concepts in a way that made sense. I officially tutored as an officer for the Kiwanis keyclub afterschool for 2 years with my underclassmen keeping them engaged and having them learn at the same time.
Although I don't hold formal degrees or certifications yet, my tutoring foundation is built on real teaching experience, dedication, and proven success with my peers.
