At Shelton State Community College I have taught basic math I &II, developmental algebra I and II, intermediate college algebra, finite math, precalculus algebra, and business calculus. The way I tutor is reteaching the student the information and then having the student do problems by themselves and then show them where their mistakes are. I have had much success in tutoring, I had a student who went from getting Fs to getting an A in precalculus.
