Tatum H. is a dancer, choreographer, and dance teacher who began dance at the early age of three years old. She attended schools like SUNY Youth Ballet. As she got older she then went on to dance schools through out New York State, New York City and other states. Some of those schools at which she studied are The School of American Ballet, The Dance Theater of Harlem, The Alvin Ailey School, The Central Penn. Youth Ballet, and The New York State Summer School of the Arts. She decided that dance was what she wanted to do at a early age so she went to college at State University of New York. There she studied dance performance.
Her next step was to perform professionally. She grew into a performer naturally and it made her happy. She performed with Debra Weiss Dance Company, The Connecticut Ballet, she danced as an apprentice with Richmond Ballet, then she danced with The Dance Theater of Harlem Dancing Through Barriers Ensemble. She started her own small group called Tatum Kai Harmon Dance. She became proud of her accomplishments so far.
Ms. H. earned her Masters in Writing at Manhattanville College. She likes to combine her dance and writing skills. She started teaching at the same time that she started dancing professionally. She has taught at various studios and after school programs. She explores the field of creative dance education in her tutoring. Her current and future students can learn dance at their own pace.
