My name is Sean and am looking forward to the opportunity to help you with topics in radiation therapy physics and radiation dosimetry. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Physics from Canisius College and graduated with my M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Applied Physics/Medical Physics from Columbia University in New York. I have 20+ years experience working as an ABR-certified clinical medical physicist specializing in radiation oncology physics at an internationally known comprehensive cancer center. I have also spent the last 4 years working as an adjunct professor teaching the course "Fundamentals of Radiation Dosimetry" in a CAMPEP approved Medical Physics Graduate Program at an Ivy League University.
Medical physics education is an area that I am passionate about. In addition to teaching the CAMPEP course as an adjunct professor, I also have a history of teaching topics in radiation therapy physics within the Radiation Therapy Technology school at my institution and for the radiation oncology and medical physics residents in our hospital. I have also provided one-on-one research and clinical mentoring for radiation oncology and medical physics residents at our institution for many years. In recognition of these efforts I have received a departmental teaching award 4 times and have also previously been selected to receive the Association of Residents in Radiation Oncology Educator of the Year Award. I have been the Therapy Editor of a national examination administered to radiation oncology residents for the past 13 years.
I am easy to reach and have flexible appointment hours. I am new to the platform which is why my rates are low. Please note that in order to avoid any conflicts of interest (real or perceived) I will not work with any students or trainees who are associated with any of the organizations that employ me and will not be able to provide tutoring specifically for the exam that I edit.
