Hello! My name is Jenna, and I graduated summa cum laude from Hollins University in May of 2025. I graduated with a degree in Philosophy and International Studies, and I also received my certificate in leadership studies. I am also entering a masters program in bioethics starting in the fall.
I have had two years of experience working with college students, primarily providing advice and guidance for how to navigate assignments. I am the most confident in helping students of all ages with writing, test preparations (including the GRE), public speaking, and above all, improving the confidence of students in the subjects they are working on. I believe in a collaborative relationship when it comes to learning and tutoring. My goal is to give each student the tools they need to be able to do well in the subjects that they may be struggling in. I work to try and find new ways to explain content and approach problems. Each student is different, and I look to provide that personalized work to ensure that they feel like they can be successful in the subject they are working through. Even more so than simply learning the material, I hope to provide my students with a sense of confidence and the belief that they can approach any problem, essay, or exam, and do well at it.
I am currently only available for online sessions, which would be held over Zoom, so you do not need to be in the area for us to meet. Feel free to send me a message with any questions about my experience or specialties!
