I am a current college student studying computer science with extensive experience teaching chess and STEM subjects to students of all ages. I have taught chess to elementary, middle, and high schoolers at local academies, and have tutored physics, computer science, and SAT Math to students across a wide range of skill levels. My academic credentials include perfect scores on AP Computer Science A, Calculus BC, and Physics 1 & 2, as well as a 790/800 on the SAT Math section. I am also a nationally ranked chess player with a USCF rating of 1971.
To date, I have worked with 179 learners from 28 countries and earned over 300 positive ratings, and my tutoring approach is very flexible and student-centered. For chess in particular, I tailor sessions around a student's current level: beginners work on fundamentals and tactical patterns, while more advanced players explore opening theory, endgame technique, and positional understanding. I believe in building genuine comprehension rather than memorization, so students leave sessions with tools they can apply independently.
