I have been sewing since I was 10. For about 10 years, I worked in a very high-volume bridal shop. During this time I was the Alterations Manager. I used to design home decor and make fashion accessories, I currently own my own business that I started in 2010. I alter, make, and design wedding gowns and special occasion dresses. I started teaching sewing in 2009 and have been teaching ever since. I have taught sewing all over the capital region, including a couple of colleges....

I have been sewing since I was 10. For about 10 years, I worked in a very high-volume bridal shop. During this time I was the Alterations Manager. I used to design home decor and make fashion accessories, I currently own my own business that I started in 2010. I alter, make, and design wedding gowns and special occasion dresses. I started teaching sewing in 2009 and have been teaching ever since. I have taught sewing all over the capital region, including a couple of colleges. I teach all ages and skill levels of sewing.
Although I am on Wyzant for private lessons, I can teach classes by request. I am able to teach in person at my studio or virtually.
I thoroughly enjoy teaching because I enjoy the challenge of helping someone understand. I see tutoring as teaching one on one. I will individualize each lesson according to the needs of the student. I will not skip over something that is difficult for the student to understand. I will find another way to explain it or demonstrate it until the student gets it. I do this while being patient, kind, and fun! Students are never bored with me.
